take a peek.

I started out with one of those form thingers, then in the middle of editing it to make it pretty, it disappeared. So instead, I'm just going to write a little paragraph about me and call it even.

Hi, I'm Jessica and I'm 23 years old. I had my first penpal when I was 6 or maybe I was 7, I'm not sure. I was learning to write in school and so we exchanged letters with a school that was across the city. He didn't like me very much because I was a girl. But I was infatuated with getting mail and still am. I got my second penpal when I was 10, we had to learn about the different states and what better way then to write someone FROM that state? My penpal was from Boise Idaho. I still wonder what happened to her. We kept up for about a year longer than everyone else did. Yet again, the mail infatuation kicked in. After high school, secondary school, I moved 2 hours north to go to Uni. It was expensive to call my friends, so we wrote, and wrote and wrote and wrote. And then, after my sophmore year that kind of died off, but the infatuation with mail didn't. And my college friends or the kids who lived in the dorms with me were always amazed at my stack of mail.

I am interested in writing to people who are kind of around my age. I'm 23. I don't mind if you're slightly younger or slightly older. I went back to school this year, even though I graduated, because I'm not sure what else to do with my life. I like to learn and it fills up a chunk of my time. I also like to read, scrapbook, and make jewelry in my alone time. The rest of the time I like to hang out with friends outside of either of our houses. I don't spend much time watching tv and when I do its usually something educational or can be found on BBCA. I don't see a lot of movies. I do love music though but I haven't been to a concert in a while. I want someone who writes about what's going on in their lives as well as philosophical thoughts like "according to buddhism, we are all cosmic bundles and we don't actually exist..." okay maybe not that heavy, but seriously... day to day stuff can be just as interesting as thought provoking enlightenment.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, concretely, in a penpal. I want to get mail, I want to make a connection, I want to find a friend. I can NOT friend you on Livejournal as a friend, because I end up keeping up with you THAT way instead of through the mail. Every now and then it takes a little longer to write back.

Right, so that's me. If you're interested, comment or email jessica.e.mccall@gmail.com.
